Tristar Investigation founder Bruce Robertson was interviewed on the San Francisco ABC News affiliate radio station KGO regarding the Jaycee Dugard child kidnapping case. The young woman was kidnapped in 1991 by convicted sex offender Phillip Craig Garrido and held for 18 years before police captured Garrido in 2009. Roberson, a private investigator and expert in locating missing persons was interviewed regarding two other Northern California missing girls, Ilene Misheloff and Michaela Garecht, who may have also been victims of Garrido. Robertson discussed the challenges of finding missing persons when years have gone by since their disappearance.
