Tristar Investigation founder Bruce Robertson was hired to investigate who shot two endangered California Condors. This was the first time a private investigator had been assigned such a task and the story was featured nationally in the New York Times and was covered extensively in California with articles in the Los Angeles Times and San Francisco Chronicle . Robertson’s search covered thousands of square miles in Central California where the Condors have their range. The Canadian Broadcasting Company news show “As It Happens” conducted an interview with Robertson on the investigation. The interview, distributed in the U.S. by NPR (National Public Radio) reveals the challenges of tracking down a Condor shooter.
