Bruce Robertson was interviewed in a KABC television news story in March of 2003 concerning the kidnapping of Elizabeth Smart in Utah. Robertson informed viewers about the importance of doing background investigation on people you let into your household. He pointed out that if the Elizabeth Smart’s parents had done this they would have found out that the kidnapper, whom they had previously employed, was homeless and had prior a prior criminal record.
